Vehicles come in many different shapes and sizes. So do service centers. Rotary two-post lifts are designed with the features you need to be productive, whether you need to lift a small car or a full-size truck.

2 POST LIFTS: SETTING THE STANDARD FOR 2-POST LIFTS

The 2 post lift is the backbone of the vehicle service industry...And Rotary Lift sets the standard for quality, durability, and reliability. For decades Rotary’s car lifts have continued to dominated the market…with more than a million 2 post car lifts helping technicians in shops all around the world. Our designs are backed up with more than 85 years of engineering experience…tested beyond industry standards…and are from our 200,000 square foot factory in Madison Indiana.

Every Rotary two post car lift has the features you need to make your shop more productive…and investing in our SHOCKWAVE equipped lifts…you won’t believe how much time you could save. When you buy a Rotary Lift, you’re getting greater reliability and less downtime. Plus, we ship parts faster to keep your bays in business. Because lost time in your bay could cost you nearly four-hundred dollars in profits a day…and maybe some customers.

SYMMETRICAL AND ASYMMETRICAL LIFTS

Both are used to lift the vehicle…for wheels free and under carriage access. Various capacities and adapters are available to properly engage the pick-up points of the vehicle.

TWO POST ASYMMETRICAL LIFTS

Asymmetrical lifting centers the vehicle to the rear of the columns. On A true asymmetrical lift the columns are rotated and arms are different lengths…allowing for maximum door opening and interior vehicle access. The rotated columns align the center of gravity of the vehicle, with the lift…equalizing the load on the columns, carriage and bearings.
These benefits make an asymmetric lift ideal for cars, light trucks and other passenger vehicles. “Capacities range from 7,000 to 10,000 lbs.”

Benefits of True Asymmetric Lifting:

  • When the lift is loaded properly, doors can be opened and the vehicle is positioned a minimum of 24” away from the nearest obstruction.
  • With true asymmetrical lifting, the columns are rotated 30º to place the approximate center of gravity of the vehicle in line with the optimum load capability of the column, reducing unnecessary wear and tear on the column, carriage and bearings.
  • Asymmetrical lifting provides more clearance at the rear of the columns (the open door contact point) approximately 117” vs. 103”.

Symmetrical and Asymetrical Lifts

TWO POST SYMMETRICAL LIFTS

Symmetrical lifting centers the vehicle front to rear in the bay. Columns are positioned directly across from and facing each other…arms are of equal length…and the lift has more drive thru clearance. The center of gravity of the vehicle and the lift are aligned, equalizing the load on the columns, carriage and bearings.
These benefits make a symmetric lift ideal for trucks, vans, and commercial vehicles. “Capacities range from 10,000 to 18,000 lbs.”

TWO POST SHOCKWAVE EQUIPPED LIFTS

Shockwave-equipped lifts are the world’s fastest lifts™ with lift times of just 25 seconds up and 19 seconds down. Their overall speed is further enhanced by the patent-pending Spotline™ laser spotting guide and a variety of quick-set superstructure choices that make Shockwave equipped lifts faster and easier to set up, as well. Shockwave-equipped lifts are battery-operated, with built-in chargers that run on 110V current. This patent-pending approach eliminates the need for expensive 230V wiring, reducing installation costs by more than 80 percent. Because the lift uses less electricity, daily operating costs are also lower.

Faster equipment in the service bay helps technicians be more efficient and productive. In fact, Shockwave-equipped lifts save technicians up to a minute or more per vehicle, letting them complete more jobs in a day and conduct more thorough vehicle inspections to sell additional work. A recent time and motion study found that Shockwave-equipped lifts can generate at least $3,259 in additional profit per bay annually. Dealers can calculate their own Shockwave ROI using the interactive calculator available online at www.rotarylift.com/shockwave.

New SmartLift inground lifts or SPOA family two-post lifts can be ordered Shockwave equipped. A Shockwave retrofit performance package is also available to upgrade existing SmartLift inground lifts. The retrofit kit includes new hydraulic cylinders, a battery power unit and controls, and Spotline laser.

“The Rotary Lift SmartLift inground lift and SPOA10 two-post lift are two of the best-selling lifts on the market,” says Mark Fitzpatrick, Rotary Lift OEM account manager. “They have been approved by all of the leading vehicle manufacturers and included in their dealer equipment programs for as long as I can remember. The new Shockwave package builds on the reliability and proven performance of these products to provide even more productivity for dealers.”

New Shockwave™-equipped Rotary Lift SmartLift® inground lifts and two-post surface lifts have been approved by leading vehicle manufacturers including: Acura, Audi, Chrysler, Ford, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar/Land Rover, Lexus, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, VW and Volvo. As a result of these approvals, dealers can buy the lifts through the official OEM-sponsored equipment programs.

Rotary Lift two-post and SmartLift inground lifts accelerated by Shockwave have been thirdparty tested by ETL and ALI certified to meet ANSI safety and performance standards. Call Rick at 901-359-4922 for more information.
